The fears of this deadly virus have sent shivers down the sine of many Indian citizens and global citizens. Today, Karnataka, my state, has declared a 7-day shut down for the entire state. Also, VTU has declared a 14 day holiday for all engineering colleges. Academics, businesses, movies and even cricket have faced the brunt of this virus. IPL 2020 has been postponed to mid-April because of the increase in the number of cases. Sensex has witnessed its greatest fall and so has nifty. Let's all try to understand what this problem is and how it can be dealt with.
The symptoms of the virus are cough, cold and sneezing. It can be contained by staying isolated for a period of 15 days. It is not necessarily fatal but it spreads rapidly through touch. So as advised, we should do the following things to not let it spread:
1) Always wash our hands with soap before and after eating and after touching something outside.
2) Avoid touching your nose and mouth at all times.
3) Carry a hand sanitizer with you and keep your hands clean.
4) When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth with a handkerchief.
5) Avoid being in public places like restaurants, etc.
The government has taken proper steps for this, despite the fact that trade and business are being affected, academics are being pushed ahead. B.E has been moved ahead by 2 weeks. But if we have to fight the coronavirus and defeat it, we have to stay patient and cautious. So everyone do not worry and be patient. And for students, this is a blessing if you see it in a different way. Use this break to catch up with your syllabus and studies. This can be a goldmine for you to actually improve in your studies. For all students from all levels, this can be a big chance to get ahead. So let the fight against coronavirus begin.
