A new challenge for India

Team India will now come home for their final series before the IPL against South Africa. They will play 3 ODIs against the proteas before they all part ways for the IPL. And this is a chance for some redemption after their humiliating loss against New Zealand down under. This will be a very important series for India to win.

After the failure against the black caps, the men in blue have discovered several holes in their batting department. With ace players like Rohit, Shikhar and Hardik rested due to injury, India have to fill these loopholes to reduce the burden on Kohli and Rahul. South Africa however, are coming into this series with a big ODI series win against Australia by winning the first 2 matches. They will be eager to keep the momentum going before sealing their summer season and going off to their IPL teams.

The first ODI takes place in 7 days on the 12th of March in Dharamshala at 1:30 pm local time. Then in Lucknow and finally ends in Kolkata on the 18th. Dharamshala has seen some really high scores in the ODIs. So this is a golden opportunity for youngsters like Shaw, Agarwal and Pandey to get back into the game and squeeze some runs. But the pressure will be on the batsmen to perform in front of their home crowd. Will India redeem from their down under upset or will the proteas come out on top like in 2015? We will have to wait and see.
